In 1884, there are a few changes in the Warrior and Clan customs:
1. Only males are allowed to be Warriors or Clan Leaders. Females are normally Medicine Cats, Queens, Elders, Nannies (see below) or Huntresses (see below).
2. "Nanny" is a new rank that was removed after the mid-twentieth century. Nannies care for kits and act as their mother, so that the Queen who gave birth to them can go on having litters. It is not possible for a male to be a Nanny, unless placed there by punishment.
3. "Huntress" is also a new rank, and it's exactly what it sounds like. The young, more athletically-built females are sent out to hunt for days on end. They go out in teams of four or five and take down larger prey. They are commonly sent out in winter, when the Clan is desperate for food. Being a Huntress is a very tedious, but prideful rank.
4. Punishments are more extreme. If you steal, for example, the normal punishment is death. Loners, often times, are not tolerated. Tolerance is rare.
5. Warriors are (normally) very serious and arrogant. They are powerful males who think of females as property and are often very rude, mean cats. However, they are very valuable to the Clan and they are to receive as much respect as the Clan leader.
6. If you are a male cat, you are automatically a Warrior. Training begins as soon as the kittens are old enough to walk and is taken very seriously. An Apprentice's training can sometimes go on for two years.
7. These cats do not believe in StarClan. Instead, they put their faith in a Feline God which they call Yarrow. He controls all with the Clans - epidemics, prey, newborns, Warriors - and the cats look to him for guidance and advice. The main difference between Yarrow and StarClan is that once every winter, he requires the Clan to make a sacrifice of a powerful Warrior. The selection of this Warrior is completely random - if your character is a Warrior and you're active, you could be chosen. You will be notified ahead of time by Feverstar if Yarrow has chosen you, and you can refuse - but you must face the consequences.
If a custom/tradition is not mentioned here, you can assume it's the same as normal. For example, Clan leaders still have nine lives.
